| Down by as much as 53 points heading into Super Tuesday, Bill Bradley has returned on the political high road where his campaign started.When CBS News Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts asked Bradley why the tone of his campaign changed, Bradley responded, "Well, I think this country deserves to know what somebody is for. Which is what I'm telling them in my campaign. That's what I've been doing the whole time." It's a strategic about-face for Bradley -- who until this week relentlessly hammered Al Gore on his abortion and gun control record and votes that preserved the tax-exempt status of Bob Jones University.The shift actually began Wednesday after Bradley's huge decrease of Washington state. In a debate that night Bradley had to be pushed to even mildly criticize Gore. When campaigning in California recently, he didn't even discuss the Vice President. Mention of a change in direction drew a laugh from Bradley Wednesday, when he said, "I think you found an unintended nuance."Bradley staffers say the nuance was far from unintended. Democratic strategists believe that facing insurmountable odds leaves Bradley playing the good Democrat."I think he understands the more time this negative road goes, the greater damage to Gore -- while the Republicans are beating themselves up. Anf the husband has always been a party person and, I believe, a team player. And this is the supreme team play," Democratic strategist Bob Beckel remarked.While Bradley has stopped criticizing Gore in the stump speeches, behind the scenes, his campaign continues to be handing out literature critical of Gore to reporters. Bradley could be prepared to give the Vice President a reasonable shake going into Super Tuesday, but it won't be a free ride. Despommier says, "You have an aging population that is based on Florida which is at and the higher chances from disease than most other populations, and so, for that state specifically, I would say that that is a worry."

You can use it successfully 24 hours a day, it becomes an easy way to communicate, and you don't need to actually talk to someone should you not feel like it. But email just isn't perfect. But I have some other conditions with email and think you have to agree on some basic Email Etiquette and Rules. Unless you are positive the person you're writing to knows all of the geeky email abbreviations and emoticons you know, don't use them. Unless the recipient spends just as much time on the Internet as you do, they are not likely to know that IOHO means "In Our Humble Opinion," or that 0+ stands for a female. Just write things out. A powerful tropical cyclone ripped the roofs off buildings and uprooted trees in northeastern Australia, tearing through the region on Monday with devastating winds that pinned emergency workers inside despite pleas from terrified residents.With winds up to 180 mph, Tropical Cyclone Larry smashed to the coastal community of Innisfail, about 60 miles south of Cairns, a well known jumping-off point for the Great Barrier Reef, sending countless tourists and residents fleeing for higher ground, reports CBS News.Des Hensler, an Innisfail resident, sheltered alone inside a church, up to his ankles in water."I aren't getting scared much, but this is one area to make any man tremble in their boots," he told the Seven television network. "There's a gray sheet of water, horizontal to the ground, and just taking my way through its path."A Queensland state police spokeswoman at Innisfail said three people had so far been reported injured, including a woman struck by flying glass.The spokeswoman, who spoke on the condition of anonymity citing agency policy, said residents had been calling the department all morning as gale force winds destroyed houses around them.Police had not yet been able to head out because the winds were still too strong, she said."They have to stay put. The tug was dispatched with the Coast Guard to tow those with disability tanker Insiko 1907.Hawaiian Humane Society officials say she'll arrive at first to the state quarantine in Halawa to be microchipped, then to a private veterinarian for an examination.Under state law, she must be placed in quarantine for 4 months.Humane Society spokeswoman Eve Holt says your pet will spend the four-month period in the Kauai Humane Society, where there are fewer dogs than in the state facility on Oahu.CBS News' Manuel Gallegus reports the Hawaiian Humane Society spent about $50,000 to have the gutted ship towed time for land, much of it from donations. Sister Lucia Marto, the last of three children who claimed to possess seen the Virgin Mary in the series of 1917 apparitions in the town of Fatima, has died, Portuguese media reported. She was 97.Sister Lucia, a Roman Catholic nun, had been ill for the past three months and died Sunday at the Convent of Carmelitas in Coimbra, 120 miles north of Lisbon, TSF radio reported, citing family sources.Pm Pedro Santana Lopes called Lucia's death "very emotional news."Lucia and a couple of her cousins, siblings Jacinta and Francisco, said in 1917 the Virgin Mary had been appearing for them once a month and predicting events, such as world wars, the reemergence of Christianity in Russia, the other that Church officials say foretold the 1981 attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II.
