Community members are invited to bring their own homemade dish and celebrate with the owners at 1305 Cape Coral Parkway E. in the Big Johns Plaza. Ive told them Ive cooked for them for 15 years, Joan said with a smile. They can cook for me one day. Although, Stevens and her husband didnt open the bar, theyve been its longest standing owners, becoming fixtures of the restaurants over the years. The original owner, Ralph Rosenkranz, opened the bar 20 years ago, and the bar passed hands a few times before the Stevens, bought it in January 1999.Its the kind of place, where staff know every customer by name, where regulars come in and pass around pictures of new babies in the family around the bar. Selling to customers Robert and Nicole Burns felt right to Stevens, because they already knew a lot of the regulars and understand the vibe the Stevens have created in the bar, she said. Ive enjoyed every day of the 15 years, Stevens said.
